My computer died and I was offline for several months. A relative was kind enough to give me a laptop , but unfortunately its a very old machine , and will only run second life on a text only viewer.
Initially, when I returned to second life , I received a warm welcome. My friends were all glad to see me, and were happy that i was alive and well. Over the course of a few weeks however, communication began to die down. I found that I was the one putting in most of the effort to stay in contact with my friends.
What I perceived as a lack of effort on the part of those I considered friends needed to be tested, so I proceeded to stop messaging them entirely.
Communication with almost everyone came to a full stop. I hear from maybe one or two people a day which is a massive tilt from the constant messages i received when i was online in full capacity.
I find myself angry , frustrated , and disappointed, however, I at least have insight on how to approach everyone when i get back in full capacity. Obviously I don't need to waste my time on people who are only around for the good times.

It's been a long time baby.
I haven't made a post since 2009. I only ever made a handful of posts to begin with, though , it's fun to look back and remember my state of mind at the time. I recognize the familiar scent of my own cynicism and narcissism. My state of mind was rather precious back then.
Though I maintained an air of smug indifference, there was still a part of me that found solace in what I considered worthy causes, and worth while projects. Of course , sociopaths like myself enjoy the attention drawn from letting others see the good things we support. It's all pseudo. Still, there was a part of me that cared about doing good things.
Seven years later, it's safe to say that those parts of me are much smaller. Like the Grinch's heart, my capacity to feel anything has shrunk and withered. I rarely feel much of anything and when I do, it strikes like lightning , then fades into obscurity in an instant. Mind you, I'm fine with that.

i choose spam
I'd like to personally think the genius that introduced gestures to second life from the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much for giving the mentally handicapped, and all the little attention seekers out there who just don't feel like they've received enough recognition from their latest suicide attempt a way to project annoying noises, and massive blocks of useless, screen filling text right into my second life experience.

tropical bondage bliss
Today's topic is a brand new Second Life sim, namely, Isle of Kink. Isle of Kink, or IOK for short is not your standard issue BDSM D/s sim. In addition to its adult bondage toy filled castle, and dungeon, dance club, pony court, RLV trap park, and tentacle swamp, IOK also offers a variety of fun filled activities in the way of games.
One of the really fantastic aspects of IOK is the fact that it is a non profit sim. Non profit means no mall, and no residential housing. The absence of these two things offers something that very few full size sims can.........a staggering reduction in lag. That's right, no lag soup for you. Isle of Kink's patrons will be able to conduct their kinky business without the hassle of moving in slow motion, crashing, and watching choppy animations.
Isle of Kink, though themed predominantly with BDSM in mind, explores a wide variety of fetishes. There's a little something for everyone nestled deep within the many rooms of the castle, and the dank corridors of the dungeon. The cell block, medical fetish theater, water sports area, and shibari room are just a few of the many attractions to be found in IOK. all of the rooms are separated by theme so that people are free to explore their favorite fetish without having to witness something that doesn't necessary fuel their kinky engines.
In the upper right corner of the sim is the 7seas fishing area. IOK holds regular contests there, rewarding the winners with ridiculous amounts of lindens.
1000 meters up you will find the dcs2 combat arena, and role play area. Players are free to slice, pummel, and bludgeon each other to death in the arena, or explore their hero/villain alter egos in the surrounding role play area. There will also be support for bloodlines here, but fear not, the rules prohibit weapon wielding noobs, and ravenous vampires from spoiling your wicked BDSM
pleasures downstairs.
All self respecting BDSM D/s people should pay the tropical paradise that is Isle of Kink a visit.

all your granduer are belong to us
So I've decided to join the millions of self-congratulating blow-hards that write blogs. As I regurgitate column after column of self important, verbal semen, please feel free to commend me on the excellence of my skewed perspectives. You may also wish to correct my grammar, attempt to dismantle my logic, or assassinate my character. These are all common practices that go along with blogging I hear, and frankly, it sounds like great fun. All I ask is that you don't completely ignore me as I am in desprate need of attention.
